Faded
Conte Graphite drawing on Bread and Paper paper.
Faded is a project from a drawing portraiture prior toA levels. I wanted to train my eyes and learn the skill of drawing human features. In particular the features of a ‘Chinese Girl’ which I heard a lot living in the UK. Therefore, I used biro to do some observational drawing of facial features, exploring the form and flesh of the human face. After developing on Pen, I started to create pencil drawings, influenced by realistic Renaissance art done by the masters such as Michaelangelo and Durer. This project helped develop my ability to set up a drawing and get proportions right using just the eye.
